    Sight seeing in London

On the page http:www.capital-calling.com I found all the train stations of London on a map.
Their colour is green. Their names are Paddington, Victoria, Waterloo, St. Pancras and Euston. If you want to go to Scotland you have to leave from Euston Station.
If you want to go to Cardiff or to Plymouth you have to leave at Paddington Station.
If you come from Dover you arrive at Victoria Station. On the same page I found information about the Tower of London. William the Conqueror built it. In its wall is an arched hole which leads onto the River Thames.
Henry VIII`s wife, Ann Boleyn, was executed in the Tower.
In the last century the Tower Bridge was built. It was so new and special because the large ships had to pass under it to enter the city´s port. They could not have passed under a conventional bridge.
On the same page I found out, that you get a green shopping-bag when you buy something at Harrods (an expensive shop) and want to carry it away.
Buckingham Palace was originally built in 1703 for the Duke of Buckingham. At its backside you can see a big lake. You can find that on the same page, too.
From the page http://www.a-london-guide.co.uk I got information about Trafalgar Square.
There are five statues of lions and a statue with a horse. On this square are a lot of birds.
Every year before Christmas, a huge Christmas tree is erected in the square.
On the same page I looked for information about Lord or Admiral Nelson. He was born in September 1758.
In 1770, when he was 12 years old, he joined the navy. He fell in love with Lady Hamilton. In battles he lost his right eye and his right arm. On the twenty-second of October 1805, the Battle of Trafalgar took place near Cap Trafalgar, that is in Spain. His enemy was Napoleon.
Now I tried to find information about Madame Tussaud`s Museum. It is a wax model museum.
On the page http://www.madame-tussauds.com you can look at this museum. There are some wax stars, for example: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Joanna Lunley, Gerard Depardieu, Marilyn Monroe and many more.

On the "Sight Seeing Tour" (page http://www.capital-calling.com) the train stations are marked green. Their names are Paddington, Victoria, Euston, St Pancras and Waterloo. If you want to go to Scotland you must leave from Euston; if you want to go to Cardiff or to Plymouth you must leave from Paddington and if you come from Dover you will arrive at Victoria.
William the Conqueror built the Tower of London. The arched hole in the castle wall is called Traitor's Gate. Anne Boleyn, one of Henry's wives, was executed in the Tower.
The Tower Bridge was built last century. The special thing about it was that for the first time large ships had to pass under a bridge to enter a city's port.
If you buy something at Harrods and want to carry it away, you get a chic, green bag. Buckingham Palace got its name from the Duke of Buckingham. At the backside of the Palace you can see a big lake.
On Trafalgar Square there are four bronze lions that stand at the base of the column. On the 6th December each year a huge Christmas tree is erected and decorated in Trafalgar Square.
Horatio Nelson was born in September 1758 in Burnham Thorpe. 1770 he joined the navy. He fell in love with Lady Hamilton. Nelson lost his right eye and his right arm in battles. In 1805 the Battle of Trafalgar took place off Cape Trafalgar. Nelson's enemy was Napoleon.
Madame Tussaud's Museum is a wax museum. On the tour on page http://www.madame-tussauds.com you can see a lot of famous people, like Gerard Dépardieu, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Marilyn Monroe, Bill Clinton and many more.
